Magnet / laminate keeps creasing...Darn!

I have used my xyron crank style laminator for years and have loved it.  I recently purchased a laminate/ magnet cartridge and for the life of me, I can't get it to stop creasing when i put a sheet of paper and slowly roll the crank.

Any suggestions?  This was not a cheap cartridge and it's killin' me to have the waste with the creased end-product that can't be smoothed out without looking like a major flaw.

  I am sorry, you can try this, put a piece of cardboard or cardstock folded 2x in middle of tray and try running it all the way out and see if that helps.

  Hmmmm.... The crease is favoring a side...but will try first thing in am.  Have already rolled a little with nothing on it to see if's just a new roll and a kink?!

  This is an older machine, but it's always worked like a charm!  I'll also take out the cartridge and use a cotton ball with a bit of rubbing alcohol on runners to see if something is sticking... even though i can't feel anything!
